Financial Regulatory Week Ahead

G20 Deputy Finance Ministers Prep for Next Week’s Big Meeting, Central Bankers Gather in Jackson Hole, and Other Than That, Nothing is Going on Next Week

August 24 - 29, 2026

Washington is going to be really quiet next week.  No big regulatory meetings or speeches; Congress is still out, and a good portion of the Treasury Department is headed down to Asheville, North Carolina, for the G20 Deputy Finance Ministers Meeting, which takes place three days before the big Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (August 31-September 1).

But the big event of the week will be in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where the Kansas City Fed hosts the 2026 Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium (where Fed Chair Kevin Warsh will give an important economic outlook speech Friday).

Enjoy the peace and quiet.  September will be very busy. Let us know if you have any questions.
